I have been engaged with the US National Forensic League (NFL) for a number of years.
As noted below, I have authored many articles for the NFL’s Rostrum magazine.
In 2009, I developed a proposal for hosting the NFL’s national tournament in a single site, a hotel and attached convention center in Dallas, TX, for the first time in the history of the tournament. During the next two years, I worked with the NFL and the local host committee to raise funds for the tournament, I worked with a number of properties throughout the downtown Dallas area to contract housing for more than 5,000 people, I worked with NFL and hotel staff to plan for the management of the 3, 500 contestant tournament in one location, and I worked at the tournament to manage its day to day operations. I saw this project through to its completion in June of 2011 and the tournament will return to the site in 2015 and 2019.
In the spring of 2012, I began working with the NFL on the development of its international programs. Since March, I have worked with the NFL to develop NFL Korea and NFL China. NFL Guam has also been developed. All students enrolled in these programs receive US NFL memberships and are eligible to compete to qualify in the US NFL National tournament in June.
Additional information on the China and Korea programs is available on this website.
