A resolution to create a cabinet position for the former President

I must admit that I’m having trouble finding any research on this proposal.  It is possible for a former President to be appointed to a cabinet position if he hasn’t already served two terms. He really couldn’t be in the cabinet if he had already served two terms because being in the cabinet requires one to be in the line of secession to the presidency, and you can’t be President if you have already served two terms.
